Little Birdie

We usually like to stroll around our neighborhood in the late afternoons every Sunday. Last Sunday, the weather was so hot that we had to take a different road which has more trees, but this road was really quiet, the two HDB buildings next to each other looked so empty.

"This road is really quiet! These buildings are all empty..." I held Lg's hand and tried to walk faster.

"Someone committed suicide from one of these buildings before! Jumped down from the top floor! Are you scared?" He tried to scare me!

"No... But next time, I don't want to walk this road anymore!"

Suddenly Lg pointed his hand to the bushes nearby: "Look, a little bird is standing there, it's chirping! So loud!"

I became excited and walked closer to the bird, it didn't fly away, and I heard lots more chirping sounds from the bushes. I squatted down and saw more than 3 birds standing near to each other. I reached my hand towards them and one of them jumped onto my arm. Then I managed to grab its tiny legs, but gently enough to make sure I didn't hurt it. I showed Lg the bird and he was so shocked.

LG: " Wow, it's so small and you still can catch it?"

BB: "Uh huh!...Can I bring it home?"

LG: "No, it'll chirp non-stop in the middle of the night and that's very noisy! I will take some photos of you with the birdie though!"

"Little little birdie, why are you so chirpy?"

LG: "Let it go! Enough of birdie for now, I'm hungry!"

BB: "Will these birdies always be here?"

LG: "I think so!"

BB: "I want to walk here again next time!"

Photo editing software

I made these lovely frames for my photos using Photoscape, a free photo editing software. Thanks YT for mentioning this software on her blog that's why I know about it. Photoscape is really friendly and easy to use.

This photo is so cute, it can be a re-ment card! A big plate of Smoked Salmon Salad made by me. It's very yummy and healthy I tell ya!
"Jerineeee, have some veggie?"

Isn't this lovely? I'm going to print this out and stick it somewhere, maybe on the fridge!

Xiao Bai, with Panda on head!

By the way, have anyone used Picasa 3? I downloaded both software to try out. But after trying out for a while, I didn't like Picasa 3 and wanted to uninstall it, but it just didn't let me! When I clicked on the uninstall button, something popped up and told me the uninstall was denied!

I'm using Window Vista, so everytime I encountered this kind of problem, I tried to use System Restore to fix the problem, but this time, system restore failed too!

That's so frustrating! But I don't know how to fix it after that.

Photoscape is so much better!

Smile

I've been shopping a lot at Daiso lately! They have a variety of products and everything sells at only 2 dollars and everything is so cute!!!

My purchases! You can find all these items at Daiso!!!

One rare item that I can only find at Daiso with such a cheap price is a lace pattern tape, I use this tape to decorate my collectible miniatures boxes. I bought those boxes from Daiso too. Another rare item that I like very much is toe socks! I love their toe socks!!! Very cute, comfortable and cheap! Although Daiso things are cheap, but I trust their quality. Because lots of Daiso's items are made in Japan!
How many different smiles can you pose in less than 1 minutes?
I can pose at least 5! Heee!!!

How many smiles can you pose? Heeee!!! Smile anyway!!!

Just random

I don't know what happened to me recently, I am fine, but I don't feel like blogging at all. Again, I see myself slowly disappearing from the blogging world! But I won't close my blog this time, like what I did 2 years ago.

My favorite perfume, limited edition Issey Miyake L`Eau d`Issey Une Goutte de Nuage, A Drop Of Cloud.

I have two new sets of Re-Ment collectible miniatures. They are the Princess Tea Party and the Luxury French Restaurant. These sets are so pretty that I bought the whole set!!!

Shake It Off and Step Up

I was not a happy Bear Bear yesterday. Something unexpected happened to me and I couldn't do anything about that, however it made me feel very frustrated.

I'm a type of person who likes to solve the problems by myself. There are few things I always do that can help me recover from my unhappy moments.

Sometimes I'll read back my diaries to remind myself how I overcame my unhappy times.

I share with you this inspiration from one of my diaries.

Shake It Off and Step Up

A parable is told of a farmer who owned an old mule. The mule fell into the farmer's well. The farmer heard the mule 'braying' - or whatever mules do when they fall into wells. After carefully assessing the situation, the farmer sympathized with the mule, but decided that neither the mule nor the well was worth the trouble of saving. Instead, he called his neighbors together and told them what had happened...and enlisted them to help haul dirt to bury the old mule in the well and put him out of his misery.

Initially, the old mule was hysterical! But as the farmer and his neighbors continued shoveling and the dirt hit his back...a thought struck him. It suddenly dawned on him that every time a shovel load of dirt landed on his back...he should shake it off and step up! This he did, blow after blow.

"Shake it off and step up...shake it off and step up...shake it off and step up!" he repeated to encourage himself. No matter how painful the blows, or distressing the situation seemed the old mule fought "panic" and just kept right on shaking if off and stepping up!

It wasn't long before the old mule, battered and exhausted, stepped triumphantly over the wall of that well! You're right! What would bury him, actually blessed him...all because of the manner in which he handled his adversity.

That's life! If we face our problems and respond to them positively, and refuse to give in to panic, bitterness, or self-pity...the adversities that come along to bury us usually have within them the potential to benefit and bless us!

Remember that forgiveness-faith-prayer-praise and hope are all excellent ways to "shake it off and step up" out of the wells in which we find ourselves.

Xiao Bai always do a good job to cheer me up too. He always follow me, sit next to me, look at me quietly with his emotional eyes as if he is always waiting to give me a hug!

Listening to my favorite songs is another way to make me happy again. I share with you this song called "Run" sang by Leona Lewis. This song was originally sung by Snow Patrol, however I like the song even more when it was sung by Leona Lewis. Anyway, both of them are my favorite artists.

The last way that I like to do when I'm upset is to shower for a very long time! Up to a few hours! This is not a good habit, thank goodness I don't get upset often! Heee!

By the way, I'm happy again now! Heee! The upsetting moment is over! Lg bought me these cute cupcakes from the Bakerzin cafe! These cupcakes are Chocolate cupcake and Raspberry cream, Rose cupcake with Passion fruit cream, Pistachio cupcake with Pistachio cream.

They are quite cheap, only 2.50 Singapore dollars each! There are still a few more tastes to choose from but I just love these tastes! Delicious!!!
